Ecological Economics is about the interaction between humans and the environment via the economy. It starts from the premise that the economy is limited by the constraint of our planet's finite resources. Ecocide - The 5th Crime Against Peace

Using her legal expertise Polly Higgins gives a fascinating TEDxExeter talk about the potential to eraditcate ecocide, "the extensive damage to, destruction of or loss of ecosystem(s) of a given territory, whether by human agency or by other causes, to such an extent that peaceful enjoyment by the inhabitants of that territory has been or will be severely diminished".
